The 2022 Small Works, Great Wonders Art Sale will open Friday, November 11 at 6:00 p.m. Each person purchasing a ticket for the sale will receive a ballot book containing one ballot for each work of art.
The purchaser has from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to drop their signed and numbered ballot into the box by the art they wish to purchase. At 7:00 p.m. a salesperson will draw two names from the ballot box and post them on a large card near each work of art. The first name posted will have 20 minutes to reach the salesperson and pick up the bill of sale to confirm the purchase.
Once the sale is confirmed the seller will write “SOLD” on the card. If the first individual has not claimed the piece during the initial 20-minute period, the second name is eligible to purchase the art for the next 20 minutes.
At 7:40 p.m. unsold works will be available to purchase on a first-come, first-served basis.
Only the person whose name is on the ballot can pay for the art.
Payment in full must be completed the night of the sale. Checks are to be made payable to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards are also accepted but will incur a fee of 3% of their total invoice. Oklahoma state and local sales tax (8.625%) will be added to all purchases, regardless of shipment destination or purchaser’s state of residence. Sales tax exemptions will be honored with proof of exemption at the time of purchase.
Purchasers are encouraged to take their artwork with them at the close of the event. However, shipping arrangements can be made.
Unsold art will remain available for purchase through November 27, 2022.
